I’m Sick and tired of worrying about money for this money for that,
there's always fucking bills to pay and food to put on the plate.
The cost of living is so high, I'm barely fucking scraping by,
I’m on a dead end street in a dead end town, the only fucking way is out

Back down to the dole queue, that's where we'll be going

I'm at the bottom looking up at the social ladder in disgust
The capitalist mentality of these wealthy sickens me
They’re spending money on brand new cars,
while the poor are left to fucking starve
This system doesn't work, it's not for the likes of us

Time and time again, it's the government that's to blame
And it's always up to us to bear the fucking brunt

We're forced to emigrate 'cause of the shortfalls of the state
Or you can bide your fucking time at the back of the dole line

Well it seems to be the Paddys curse that when things go from bad to worse
And we fall upon harder times, there's no choice but to draw the line
With families to be fed or a roof to put over your head
It's only a matter of time ‘til we leave all this behind
Emigration's on the rise, there's more and more sad goodbyes
But you do what you've got to do until we see this recession through

Until we fix this fucking country, that's where we'll get thrown
No jobs, no money, a false economy, no prospects for the youth
We're living in no fit state, to tell you the fucking truth
